Apartheid failed in South Africa primarily due to international pressure and internal resistance. The apartheid system was widely condemned by the international community, leading to economic sanctions and diplomatic isolation. Domestically, the oppressed majority, led by figures such as Nelson Mandela and the African National Congress, fought against the unjust system through protests, strikes, and civil disobedience. The combination of these factors ultimately led to the dismantling of apartheid and the establishment of a democratic, non-racial South Africa. **

The accusation of apartheid against Israel is based on the treatment of Palestinians in the occupied territories. Critics argue that Israel's policies and practices, such as the construction of settlements, restrictions on movement, and differential legal and political rights for Palestinians, resemble the system of apartheid that existed in South Africa. They argue that these policies create a system of institutionalized discrimination and segregation, which is a violation of international law and human rights. Israel disputes these claims and argues that it is a democratic state that respects the rights of all its citizens. **

Apartheid was a system of institutionalized racial segregation and discrimination that was enforced in South Africa from 1948 to the early 1990s. Under apartheid, the white minority government imposed laws that restricted the rights and freedoms of the non-white majority, including separate living areas, education, and job opportunities. This system led to widespread inequality, poverty, and violence, and it was widely condemned internationally. Apartheid was eventually dismantled through a series of negotiations and reforms, leading to the establishment of a democratic government in South Africa. **

Israel is referred to as an apartheid state because of its treatment of Palestinians living in the occupied territories. Palestinians face discriminatory laws and policies that limit their freedom of movement, access to resources, and basic rights. The Israeli government's separation barrier, checkpoints, and settlements further segregate and marginalize Palestinians, resembling the apartheid system that existed in South Africa. Critics argue that this system of institutionalized discrimination perpetuates a system of inequality and oppression. **

Apartheid in South Africa was a system of institutionalized racial segregation and discrimination that was implemented by the National Party government in 1948. The main goal of apartheid was to maintain white minority rule and ensure the dominance of the white population over the black majority. The government used laws to enforce racial segregation in all aspects of society, including housing, education, healthcare, and employment. Apartheid was justified by the belief in white superiority and the need to protect the economic and social interests of the white population. **

The apartheid in South Africa was a system of institutionalized racial segregation and discrimination that was enforced by the National Party government from 1948 to 1994. The main explanation for the apartheid was the desire of the white minority to maintain their political and economic power over the black majority. The government implemented laws that restricted the rights and freedoms of non-white South Africans, including the Group Areas Act, which enforced residential segregation, and the Population Registration Act, which classified people by race. The apartheid was also driven by the ideology of white supremacy and the belief in the superiority of the white race. **

Several human rights organizations, including Human Rights Watch and B'Tselem, have stated that Israel's treatment of Palestinians amounts to apartheid. In April 2021, Human Rights Watch released a report accusing Israel of committing crimes of apartheid and persecution against Palestinians. B'Tselem, an Israeli human rights organization, also published a report in January 2021, stating that Israel maintains a regime of Jewish supremacy over Palestinians, which constitutes apartheid. These organizations have called for international action to address the situation and hold Israel accountable for its actions. **

Participate and empower are both important concepts in creating positive change. Participating involves actively engaging in activities, discussions, and decision-making processes. Empowering, on the other hand, involves giving individuals the tools, resources, and support they need to take control of their own lives and make their own decisions. Both are important in creating inclusive and sustainable change, as participation allows for diverse perspectives and voices to be heard, while empowerment enables individuals to take ownership of their own lives and communities. Ultimately, a combination of both participation and empowerment is necessary for creating meaningful and lasting change. **
